The scriptural idea of atonement is about either 1. Payment for Sin 2. Covering for death, and depending on your answer will be your opinion. Gentiles know little of this process, and it is a shame your reformers were so anti-Semitic however 2 is the correct scriptural answer. But whose death is covered and how are they covered… Israel had two systems one national one personal the national was for all Israel without distinction, day of Yom Kippur one personal sin offer guilt offering and so forth. Neither of these is a payment for sins or evil deeds committed.
